Caers & Crannogs is a series of zines for the NSR adventure game Cairn, by Yochai Gal. This exciting issue 2, ManaRampartsMatt returns to present additional rules, alternative rules, new items and spells, new backgrounds / load outs, settings, potential adventures, and lots and lots of random tables. This is new issue of Caers & Crannogs also introduces us to The Otherworld, an iron age Celtic world of the fair-folk, along with dungeons, adventure site, and more lore!
At the request of many adventure-hungry adventurers, issue 2 includes a larger page count than issue 1 (available on the L.F. OSR Shop here), now featuring 16 pages total. Along with the additional Cairn rules, Caers & Cranogs Issue 2 includes rules for hex-crawling / overland travel rules, producers for dungeon delving, stocking dungeons, mechanics for building hill forts / castles, random tables for settlements / clans, charts for creating unique Tartans, The Nine Sacred Woods and what they’re used for, and lastly Dolmenring – a short dungeon for introductory adventures.
This L.F. OSR edition of Caers & Crannogs Issue 2 includes a heavy texture felt cover stock, along with the same natural parchment interior paper as issue #1. This edition also features a new singer sewn binding, with a lightly reflective grey thread!
