More Info – Handcrafted

What is “Handcrafted”?

You may have seen this icon () or term on various products sold in the L.F. OSR Shop. Here’s what we mean when we say Handcrafted:

  • All materials used are carefully chosen based on their quality and sourced directly by us
  • All printing is done in-house with our very own professional printer
  • All binding, folding, and / or cutting is done by us for each individual product
  • Any other special treatments are all handled by, you guessed it, us!

Why We Tell You Which Items Are Handcrafted

When you purchase a handcrafted item, you’re directly supporting L.F. OSR (an independent artist and creator). We take great pride in creating each handcrafted item and wish to continue to provide these artisan services – your support makes this process possible and we thank every customer for showing their appreciation to these traditional crafts.

Margin of Error

We’re not quite as perfect as machines – but we also want you to be proud to own something that’s handcrafted. Our internal margin of error standards mean you might see minor imperfections caused by our tools or the handling involved in the production process. This isn’t the case for every handcrafted item, but we believe these small signs of real effort going into the creation of your item can sometimes add a certain appeal.

Regardless, every item undergoes an inspection after production is complete – meaning a real human will be checking your item for any small imperfections or major defects. All small imperfections will be deemed either okay by our standards or compromised. All compromised items are put aside as Misprints.

If you believe you received a misprint, please Contact us.

What We Do With Misprints

Any usable, albeit slightly compromised, misprints are gathered and reserved as community copies for special events, charity donations, library donations, or other means that allow the reuse of the materials already used to create our products.
